Meet The Teacher
I am Mrs. Sain. I have been at Oakwood Elementary for nine years. I began my career at Oakwood as a teacher assistant. I worked in all grade levels as an assistant. While at Oakwood, my husband encouraged me to enroll at Appalachian State University to pursue my bachelor's degree in education. With the support of my husband , daughter, and my Oakwood family, I obtained my degree from Appalachian State University in December of 2009. I began my career as a second grade teacher in the fall of 2010. I am currently in my second year of teaching at Oakwood. I love watching my students grow and learn. My goal is to help each of my students reach their full potential.
My husband lost his battle with cancer on September 22, 2011. We were happily married for 28 years. We have one daughter, Adrienne. She and her husband Joshua blessed us with a beautiful granddaughter on Valentines Day of 2011. Her name is Kendra Lily Parker.
